Lord Vishnu has more than a thousand names, and among them, twelve have a special place in the daily life of a devotee. Dwadasha Nama introduces children to these twelve names through short stories, colouring activities and simple explanations of their place in daily practice.
The twelve names are Keshava, Narayana, Madhava, Govinda, Vishnu, Madhusoodana, Trivikrama, Vamana, Sridhara, Hrishikesha, Padmanabha and Damodara. Each name comes with its story drawn from the Puranas. Each story is followed by a colouring page.
The book also introduces the role of Dwadashanama in Sandhyavandanam, in the prayer to Surya Bhagavan, and in the Urdhva Pundra traditionally applied by Sri Vaishnavas after receiving initiation from their acharya.
